A step-by-step guide to becoming a registered full time student at Oakfields College

A step-by-step guide to becoming a registered full time student at Oakfields College

The first step to registering at any college is to decide what your passion is, embrace it and choose the right college to study at.

If you have chosen Oakfields College, fortunately the process to becoming a student is easy and explained to you in the step-by-step guide.

Your second step is to contact the campus of your choice. Oakfields College has three campuses; one in Pretoria East, one in Edenvale/Johannesburg and one in Somerset West, Cape Town.  You can contact them via a phone call, an email or a WhatsApp message on our contacts page.  You will need to let the student advisor know which course you are interested in.

The student advisor will then send you the application form, as well as the pricing structure of the course.

Your third step will be to send the application form back, with your proof of payment. The application form will need to be signed by yourself and a guardian and it will need to state what day you are available for your interview. The student advisor will then contact you to confirm the date or make an alternative date if necessary.

The fourth step is for you to prepare for your entrance interview. Each course has different entry specifications, so make sure you have gone over these before your interview. Some courses require an audition or a portfolio. The details for this will be stated on page two or three of the course fact sheet. If you need any assistance with this, you can speak to a student advisor who will be able to explain it in more detail for you.

A week or two after your interview, you will be contacted by a student advisor to let you know whether you have been accepted to study at Oakfields College. They will then send you your registration forms and registration details.

Step five is optional. If you need financial assistance you can contact Student Hero for more flexible payment terms.

Your final step will be to fill in the registration forms with the assistance of your guardian. Make sure you read all of the Ts and Cs and sign or tick all the correct spaces. You will need to either send these in via email with the proof of registration payment or you can come in to the campus to hand these in.

If your documents are all in order you will receive your welcome letter and officially be a part of the Oakfields College family.
