Do you ever get that feeling in your stomach that fills you with excitement and determination to want to pursue it no matter what? It may be a project that you have been working on that inspired you or you may have learnt a new skill and you suddenly want to do this all the time no matter what stands in your way.
This is passion! The dictionary describes passion as follows, ‘A strong and barely controllable emotion’.
When you study the creative arts, passion is what drives you. It allows you to express who you are and unfold your ideas, some of which no one ever thought possible. It’s limitless.
Successful people all over the world will tell you that passion is what pushes them. It’s their food, their water, their reason for existing. If you have an idea fly with it and no matter how many critics shut you down, pursue it anyway because if you have hunger and you believe that what you are doing is going to make a difference to the future,it’s worth it. This future drives us to progress and is taking us into the 4th industrial revolution. It is time for new ideas and inventions. Technology and information are at our fingertips 24 hours a day and boundless opportunities exist to learn and explore.
There are a couple of things to remember about being passionate. You cannot fake it, you are the vision and it’s not about the money. Smash your fears and don’t give up or settle for less. If you are passionate about your idea, act on it; share it with others and under no circumstances stop perfecting it.
Passion is life. Never stop craving it.
