Purpose of Make-up and Special Effects Course:

The make-up and special effects course is extremely hands-on. The projects you will undertake during the year include making zombie faces, cut-off fingers, wounds and a full body suit or full body painting project. Your final projects will be shown during the Golden Oak awards ceremony at the end of the year.

During your time with us, you will be taught all aspects of make-up and special effects, from fashion make-up to stage and film make-up. You will also be exposed to various hairstyling techniques to suit your make-up themes.

This is an extremely practical course that will provide you with the knowledge to pursue an active career in make-up design.The programme will equip graduates to enter this highly competitive industry with the theoretical and practical skills needed to open up career paths and job opportunities. The course emphasis is placed on conceptualisation and innovation.
